Information Communication Technology (ICT) is vital to our everyday lives. The primary importance of ICT lies in its power to provide a wealth of instantly-accessed learning resources for our students and teachers, both at school and at home.
When students start at Belmont High School they are expected to have a Windows 10 device. Any devices purchased from the Supported Devices below are purchased through JB Hi-Fi Education, and not from the School directly. All school software is supplied free of charge for these devices.
Should families wish to utilize alternate devices within the School, the IT Department is able to assist with printing, wireless access and access to the Microsoft Office and Adobe Suite, but no hardware or software assistance will be provided for these devices.
Managed BYOD
Belmont High School is excited to offer you a managed bring your own device solution. Over previous years we have organized a rental program with notebooks which means the computer has to come back at the end of the rental period or when your student leaves Belmont High School. We are able to offer devices that you can own straight away, with support and updates provided by Belmont High School technical staff.
What is Managed BYOD
Managed BYOD is where the school chooses a supplier and a number of specific supported models that you can choose from. You must purchase from our supplier using the link below(JB HI-FI) in order to have the computer configured and connected to the school’s network. We have negotiated prices and picked models to suit our curriculum. They have been all tested for a minimum of 3 year lifespan.
All devices have a 3 year warranty on the computer hardware, including the battery. All repairs are conducted onsite in the IT office to ensure there is as little disruptions to learning as possible.
